HOW DOES STRESS creates OBESITY?

Most people in my country Nigeria, keep asking me how STRESS creates OBESITY. This is because they understand the high level of stress in Nigeria and to them, when you are stressed, A.You do not  have enough time to eat. (too busy chasing money)
  B.Eat good food. ( Lack of proper  knowledge of  Healthy eating/poverty)
  C. Even not to eat at all. (Lack of Appetite)

 Now these people who think this way with their own analysis of stress ''ROAD MAP'' forget that same stress crises also makes it possible for them to eat ANYTHING available to them,  have less/no time to relax/sleep well, no energy to exercise. That's the puzzle of stress link to obesity.

Someone is saying ...ahhhhhhhhh....now i see....

First and foremost, the eating, exercise, recreational habits  of  Nigerians are very poor. If am not correct...challenge me...bring -it-on...let's dissect it.....

You try to tell someone to eat healthy and he/she goes, -'' The foods are not even here so why choose?''  Try and relax and get some exercise....He or she goes..-'' There is no time for me'' Meanwhile such a person might just be a woman who sits down at home all day watching local movies non-stop and eating every minute count. It could also be a jobless man who go all out every day looking for group of gamblers to gamble with.... NO TIME here for these folks? You tell me!!!

When stress sets in...it becomes very difficult for people with this frame of mind to now work on stress and avoid it from crippling their body weight/health.  Again people who have some extra cash and stressing tend to go to fast food outlets a lot, heaping on junk foods like ice cream, cakes, pies, pizzaas...fries, burgers, coated chicken and all other stuff...

Avoid this...but once in a while does not hurt though...
                            



As the level of stress rises, the more the weight gain. For those who do not eat much but when they eat they cover both breakfast, lunch, dinner....oh yea...sure i have clients who keep telling me that they eat once a day. When i get the record of what they eat in that one sitting......boyyyyyyyy.....it's more than what a HEALTHY eater eats  for just breakkieee!!!

It's not about how many times you eat folks but QUALITY and also, PERIOD. What i mean by period is- how about someone loading on carbs and lumps of meat washed it down with a bottle of larger/sweetened juice, malt as late as 10pm upwards? Very bad time to eat!! Those who are under stress can break this record even to early morning hours because they also have SLEEP problems so no time regimen for them...To them; who cares any way? Their brains are on fire LOL!!!!
        
Popular Nigerian dish ..... should be eaten for lunch... not late Dinner.


Ok folks, if you refuse to eat healthy and too lazy to exercise try and get a good SLEEP at night. You can go for good Soy Milk, Coconut Milk, Almond Milk to help you sleep . A therapist will help you to figure out where your stress is emanating from and guide you on a regimen suitable for your lifestyle, financial capabilities.  When  people call and ask of  my fees for Therapy, it's all about ...they do not have money ...but when you break down and being hospitalized, that money comes out in a jiffy....probably..it might not do much for you. Why? If you allow your stress level to get to the extent that you will be rushed to a hospital due to - Cardiac attack, fainting spells, car accidents... etc.....it means your health condition is jinxed....

So make hay while the sun shines and save your life from premature death from too much stress and its health complications.   Jacqui
