SHETHATLEADS Humanitarian outreach Inspiring Women Entrepreneur

Joyce uloma Ikpeme, is the founder & CEO of triplejstitches, a clothing brand created in 2015.
A graduate of Adult and Community Education Rivers state university of Science & Technology port Harcourt, Rivers state Nigeria.

She got married in 2011 & moved to united states in 2012 where she put her sewing/fashion designs dreams into practice. She started sewing for others and started making some little income but it was difficult making enough to pay bills. She got an office job but never gave up on her passion for Sewing believing things will get better.

In 2013, she and her husband welcomed their first child, a baby girl.
She was so pretty that Joyce quit her job to concentrate taking care of her baby.

As a nursing mother, she still kept herself very resourceful by attending some online fashion school which upgraded her sewing skills and fashion business but patronage was still scarce.

In 2015, she had her second child followed by third child in 2016. This means more money to take care of her children.

In 2018, Joyce used her teaching degree to get a job as a preschool teacher but, she never stopped being a fashion designer.

One of her worst nightmares in pursuing her fashion design business was, consulting with clients who always promised to patronize her but never did or, called her to explain why they couldn't patronize her.
Joyce never quit on pursuing her fashion design passion due to disappointments but rather, continued looking on the bright side of life that one day, she will become successful.

In 2020 when covid started, she made very good use of the stay-at-home syndrome and started working on her sewing ideas and perfecting her skills. It was at this period she fell in love with sewing children's dresses which is a section of Triplejstitches.

In 2021, she got a call from a client she worked for in 2018 who was getting married. She hired Joyce to design her bridal party wears. That was a deal breaker for Triplejstitches Clothings.

That Client gave Joyce a special gift she will never forget. The client asked Joyce if her business was registered. Joyce said No. She asked why she didn't register her business. Joyce told her she didn't have money to do so.
That same Client offered to help her register her clothing brand as a gift to Joyce.

That turned around positively her sewing passion and, her clothing brand- Triplejstitches got officially registered in the state of Texas in 2021.

Presently, Joyce Uloma Ikpeme is a proud owner of a Clothing brand that caters for customized and bulk production children collections and adult designers Female collections located in Richmond Texas. She has satisfied clients who keeps patronizing her and refers her to new customers too.

Joyce loves and enjoys being a Mom as she watches her children grow and also enjoys her business as a Fashion designer alongside her teaching job.

Joyce Uloma Ikpeme said- "Am not where I want to be but, am not where I started."
